What is Yoga Therapy
Whilst Yoga has been practiced for thousands of years the field of Yoga Therapy is still relatively new.
There is mounting research and evidence to show the benefits of Yoga as a treatment for many physical and emotional conditions, including, chronic pain, depression and anxiety, stress and overwhelm and insomnia.
“Yoga Therapy is about creating space for the body and mind to heal and thrive.”
~ Rachel Scott
How we will work together
Our Yoga Therapy sessions begin with an assessment of mood, stress, and the physical body. We will spend a little time talking before we get into your practice.
From there we explore a variety of practices including postures, breathing exercises, meditation, mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Together, we will work towards improving your physical, mental, and emotional health.
All sessions are tailored to suit your requirements, we will go at your pace and always listen to your needs and feedback.
A modern approach
In a private setting, together, we work with the whole body and its innate ability to heal.
And whilst yoga is inherently therapeutic, yoga therapy provides a safe space for the client and therapist to work on individual needs often alongside other health practitioners or a holistic care plan.
